William, who went by Bill, was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Christopher Otto Buppert and Peggy Sue (Hagewood) Buppert. He grew up primarily in Florida, working in the restaurant and hospitality industries before transitioning into sales. That career move brought him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he met his wife of 28 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Nathaniel Shane, 33, and Olivia Claire, 24.

Bill had a highly successful career in telecommunications sales and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years at Iwatsu Voice Networks and ICON Voice Networks, managing the Southeast Territory for ICON, and most recently was Director of Sales for ICON Cloud Solutions. Bill was a multiple Green Jacket winner recognizing top sales achievement within the company. Throughout his time at Iwatsu and ICON, he was able to travel with his family to countless places across the country and abroad.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Castor); his son, Nathan; his daughter, Olivia; as well as his father, Chris Buppert; sister, Tammy Morris; Aunt and Uncle, Irv and Patty Buppert; sister-in-law, Jennifer Castor; mother- and father-in-law, Bob and Lindsay Castor; brothers, Tim Morris; nephew, Jeremey Morris; and his nieces, Nora and Lucy Tiller, and Breanna Morris. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Bessie Taylor; his mother, Peggy Philio; his brother, Christopher Buppert; his mother-in-law, Carol Ricci; his Aunt, Georgia Childers; and his nephew, Jeffery Morris.

Bill was well known for being a loving pet owner to several dogs and cats throughout his lifetime. The friends Bill made remained his friends for life.

A joyful celebration of his life will be held on June 22nd. Bring your stories, mementos, photos, and memories.
