Terry Allan Birkett, age 62, passed away January 6, 2026 in Nashville, TN. He was born August 3, 1963 in Hazel Green, WI. Terry was the youngest of four boys born to Robert and Chloe (Gregory) Birkett.

Terry grew up in Benton WI. After high school he attended college in Platteville, WI for Television and Radio Broadcasting. After college he joined the Air Force serving 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force he worked in the private sector for another 10 years before retiring.

Terry was a friendly, easy going man, always willing to listen with no judgement.  He seemed to make friends everywhere he went and had many stories to tell.  Terry was very curious about how things operated and didn't fear digging into something to either fix or improve it. With that curiosity came many hobbies that included stunt kite flying, RC cars and planes, collecting Sci-Fi memorabilia and riding motorcycles. Terry was an avid book reader with his favorite genre being Science Fiction. His favorite author was Anne McCaffrey and  he loved the feel and smell of a good paperback book. Terry developed an interest in hunting later in his life and enjoyed hunting hogs in Texas, he was a beekeeper and made his own hive boxes through his love for woodworking.

Terry is survived by his Chihuahua Elsa, loving wife Allison Smith, brothers Jim and Tracy Birkett, sons Adam and Nathan Birkett, their wives Tina Joyce and Corie Birkett, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and many other beloved family members and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Chloe, and his brother Bill.

Terry will be remembered for his friendly and kind nature.  His spirit lives on in our hearts and through our memories.
