Susan Michelle Faulkner-Cook, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully on August 18, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 50 years old. Susan was born on March 13, 1975, and though her life's path was marked by challenges and change, she carried within her a resilient spirit and a deep love for those closest to her.

Susan especially adored her grandmother, Memaw June Faulkner, whose steadfast love and guidance shaped much of the tenderness and care Susan gave to others.

She is survived by her children: Kayla E. (Paolo) Bussolino, Devin M. Cook, and Gideon D. P. Cook. She was preceded in death by her sons Nicholas M. Cook and David C. Cook, both of whom she held in her heart with unending love.

Her most cherished role was as "Oma" to her grandchildren: Emiliana A. ("Emma"), Etzio A. ("Gus"), and Teodoro A. ("Andy") Bussolino. In them she found her greatest joy—sharing warmth, laughter, and love that will forever echo in their lives.

She is also lovingly remembered by her niece and nephew, Kyle A. Miller and Summer E. Miller, as well as her many first cousins: Nicole Hess, Noah, Eric, Lucas, Jonathan, Ethan, and Ferris Paradise, Rebecca Johnson, Samuel and Zachary Shumake, James Daniel Phillips (Stephanie Pipes Phillips), Rebekah Joan Kushner (Jacob Kushner), David Michael Phillips, Stacey Annette Cannon (Jimmy Cannon), & Heather Nichole Merriman (Ken Merriman).

Susan earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology, reflecting her curiosity about people and her enduring desire to understand the heart and mind. Though her life was not without hardship, she met her struggles with quiet strength and left an indelible mark of love upon those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Diane Paradise Miller (2013), and is survived by her father, Archie Faulkner.

Susan will be remembered for her resilience, her capacity to love despite life's difficulties, and the legacy of warmth she leaves behind in her children and grandchildren. Though her earthly journey has ended, her memory will live on—in stories told, in laughter shared, and in the hearts of all who loved her.
