Stella Lowe McDonald, aged 73, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Antioch, TN. Born on July 16, 1952, Stella graduated from David Lipscomb High School in 1970 and furthered her education at the University of Tennessee Nashville.
Stella dedicated her life to caring for others in her professional role as a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager. Her commitment to her career was paralleled by her love for animals, a passion that defined much of her personal life.
She was a devout member of Brentwood First Presbyterian and past member of Antioch Church of Christ, where she actively participated in community services and events.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, William Benton Lowe and Rebecca Park Lowe Daugherty, and her stepfather, Al Daugherty, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Andy McDonald; daughter, Elizabeth Owensby (Matt); grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas Owensby; brother, Benton Lowe (Tanya); sister, Billi Hartsfield (Barry), and several nieces and nephews, including Rachel McCauley (Ryan), Rebecca Sublett, Catherine Smith (Phillip), Will Lowe (Kelsey), and Daniel Lowe (Catherine). Great Nieces, Caelan McCauley, Adalie McCauley, Natalie Sublett, Hartley Faye Smith, Emma Louise Lowe and Great Nephews, Nathan Sublett, William McCauley, Aaron-Rhett Smith, Micah Lowe, and Josiah Lowe. And her dearest friend of over 60 years, Edith Scott King.
Stella's life was marked by her kindness, dedication, and the profound impact she had on her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
A Celebration of Stella's life will be held Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at the Antioch Church of Christ, 2142 Antioch Pike, Antioch, TN. Family will greet guests from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and the service will begin at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you honor Stella's memory by donating to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, www.disasterreliefeffort.org or Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, www.proverbs1210rescue.org.
