Ricardo Lopez Hernandez, passed away surrounded by his family on the 14th of September 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 72.

Ricardo was born on January 11th 1954 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He left behind his parents Laura Lopez Compean and Enrique Morales, his brothers and sisters, Angelica Morales Lopez (Alejandro), Georgina Morales Lopez (Marco), Enrique Morales Lopez (Paulina) and Manuel-Gerardo Morales Lopez (Ivette), as well as his son Hector Brown Hernandez (Thaïs) and daughter Rebecca Brown Hernandez, and his cherished grandchildren Zoélie and Margot.

Ricardo was a loving brother, father, friend and grandfather whose enthusiasm for life was contagious. He left a lasting impact on so many people. His family, friends, coworkers all mention having been positively impacted by Ricardo. He was someone who would take charge and lead when no one else wanted to. He connected with people authentically and made everyone feel they mattered. He lived by the simple rule of living life to the maximum.

During his life he lived in many countries including Mexico, Brazil, and France. He obtained his bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and a masters degree in the same field from L’Institut Superieur des Affaires in Paris, France. He had two very successful careers at Chrysler and Continental. He loved to travel, had deep passions for cars, trucks, Formula 1, and being on the water.

Ricardo requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Nashville Family Safety Center.
