Phillip Joseph Hostettler, Jr., of Joelton, Tn, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025 at the age of 68. A lifelong Nashville resident, he attended high school at Father Ryan High School and later attended college at Middle Tennessee State University.

Anyone who knew Phillip knew about his love of planes, space, and adventure. As soon as he was able to, Phillip got his pilot's license and flew every chance he got. Starting in 2023, he worked at Southwest Airlines as a ramp agent. In his time off, he enjoyed exercising at the YMCA, meeting up with friends, glider flying, and seeing movies with his daughter (or at least seeing a few minutes before dozing off).

Preceded in death by parents, Phillip and Joyce Ransdell Hostettler, sister Barbara Hostettler Rowland, and uncles Fred Hostettler and Father Paul Hostettler. Survived by daughter Katie Hostettler, brothers John Hostettler and Paul Hostettler, and sister Connie Hostettler Radford, as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
