Phillip "Bo" Herron, age 68, passed away September 30, 2025 in Cookeville, TN.

He was born June 29,1957 in Greenville, SC to the late Walter and Aline Herron. He was the youngest of six and attended Cookeville High School. He resided in Michigan, Texas and Louisiana for many years but returned to Cookeville late in life.

Bo was a friend to many and always had a joke to make you smile. He enjoyed playing golf, throwing horseshoes, sitting around a bonfire, playing guitar and playing cards.  He was a handy man and spent many years in the construction field.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter and Glynon Herron, fiancée Denise Dennis, wife Francine Herron, stepson Charles Shinew, grandson Dominic Black and his fur baby, Earl.

He is survived by his daughter Heather (Adam) Champlin, stepdaughter Leanne Obersig, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his siblings Ann (Don) Goldman, Marsha Curtis, Bobby (Diane) Herron, special friend Christina Fisher, many nieces and nephews, and his friends from Michigan to Tennessee.

Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN.

A celebration of life will be held October 18, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 at the Trufant Community Center, 308 W. 2nd St Trufant, MI.
