Nydia Avelina De La Torre Solis, affectionately known as “Ave” to her family and close friends, passed away on September 25, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nydia was born and raised in Durango, Mexico, before moving with her family to Monterrey, Mexico, at the age of 18. During high school, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She later earned a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico, and a second degree in English through Brigham Young University's Pathway program.
For the past five years, Nydia was employed by Genus PLC in Adolphus, Kentucky, as a PIC Production Technician. She was well respected by her colleagues and took great pride in her work, where she excelled in her position.
Nydia enjoyed music, animals, nature, and traveling. She had a love for adventure and enjoyed experiencing new places and making the most of life. Above all, she loved her family, especially her son, Gabo, who meant more to her than anything in the world.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Avelina Solis de De La Torre, who passed away in 2014.
Nydia is survived by her son, Carlos Gabriel De La Torre Solis (“Gabo”); her father, Carlos De La Torre Gonzalez; her sister, Karla Yazmin De La Torre de Rodriguez, and her husband, Sergio Alberto Rodriguez Enriquez; her brother, Carlos Enrique De La Torre Solis; her nephew, Carlos Matias De La Torre Calderon; and her niece, Luna Miranda Rodriguez. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Nydia will be remembered for her love of life, her independent spirit, and her devotion to her son and family.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to The Cremation Company of Nashville, Tennessee.
