Nancy Smiley Stein, age 87, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on August 24, 2025 . She was born in Ridgetop, Tennessee, on June 23, 1938, the daughter of the late William "Bill" Perry Smiley and Carrie Ella Albert Smiley. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Stein; her parents; her sister, Billie June Smiley Bowers; and her brothers, James "Jimmy" Albert Smiley and Lynn "Doc" Smiley.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Karen Brake; her granddaughter, Carrie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. For forty years, Nancy served as office manager at Wikoff Color Corporation's Nashville office, where she played an integral role in the company's operations. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to family, friends, travel, and community service. Nancy was an active supporter of the Ridgetop Historical Society, where she worked to preserve the history of her hometown, and a dedicated volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville, providing comfort and assistance to families in need. She also found great joy in organizing reunions for the Greenbrier High School Class of 1956, ensuring that classmates remained connected through the years. A lifelong member of Highland Chapel Union Church, Nancy was also a faithful member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class at Goodlettsville Church.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Chapel Union Church.
