Michael Anthony DeWoody, 65, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on March 20, 1960, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Michael lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep devotion to family, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him.  Michael was a devoted husband to Pamela L. DeWoody for 36 years—a bond built on love, partnership, and unwavering support. Together they raised Matthew Arlington DeWoody (Danielle). Michael Andrew DeWoody who blessed Michael with three cherished grandchildren: Aiden, Brendyn, and Ava Grace. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy and pride.

He was one of nine siblings and held a special place in the hearts of his sisters—Barbara Wright, Katie Griffiths(Matt), Geneann Hill(Tom), Susan Anderson(Tim), Jennifer Frye, and Joanna Alford(Ken)—and his brother Raymond DeWoody. In addition to his siblings, he is survived by his father Al Fuller, who was very influential for the majority of Michael's life. For although they were not related by blood, Michael loved him and considered him an important member of his family. He was preceded in death by his sister Jane Castillo and his mother Jacqueline Rose Schulze Fuller.

In his early thirties and forties, Michael found joy in flying remote-controlled planes in aerial combat competitions. These spirited events involved pilots maneuvering their planes to cut ribbons trailing from each other's aircraft—a hobby that combined precision with playfulness. He also loved fishing and relished the satisfaction of enjoying a good meal after a successful day on the water.

Later in life, Michael embraced the role of Santa Claus for the children at the apartment complex where he worked. Donning the red suit each holiday season became more than just tradition—it was an act of love. The children were always amazed that Santa knew their names; it was Michael's way of making each child feet seen and special.

Though he may not have always expressed affection with words, Michael showed his love through action—through steadfast presence, quiet protection, and tireless support. He was known as a "loving teddy bear" of a brother and a loyal friend—someone who would go the extra mile without hesitation Whether it was fixing something broken or offering guidance when others felt lost, Michael was often the first call when someone needed help.

To those who knew him best—his family and friends—Michael was more than dependable; he was irreplaceable. His protective nature extended especially to the women in his life; he stood as their shield with quiet dignity. His wisdom and practical know-how saved many from frustration over the years—he was our go-to person for answers big and small.

Michael Anthony DeWoody leaves behind a legacy of love shown through deeds rather than declarations—a man whose actions spoke volumes about his heart. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
