Nashville, TN – Katie Dylan Hildebrand (Kate, Dylan, Miss Katie) 52, an unconditionally loving sister, mother, aunt, cousin and best friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee surrounded by family.  She asked to be cremated with her ashes spread in beautiful places around the world.  A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 in Breckenridge, CO at her daughter's home.

Katie was born on May 24, 1973 in Alexandria, VA, grew up in North Richland Hills/Ft. Worth, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.

Katie was a true thespian and professional recurring extra on the television series "Friday Night Lights."  Professionally Katie served various roles in HR and Hospitality Management.

Katie brought light to any room she entered.  She was inspiring, bright, beautiful, brave, bubbly, funny and a hoot and a half.

Towards the end of life, she fought a heroic year and a half battle with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Katie is preceded in death by her father Walter Vale McCarthy, her mother Vivian Leigh McCarthy and her son Vale Andrew Hildebrand.

She is succeeded by her sister Shannon Marie McCarthy, two brothers Michael Conan McCarthy and Ryan Corbett McCarthy, and by her daughter Kyla Dylan Hildebrand.
