Katherine B. Gibson, age 70, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on October 15, 2026.

Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with those closest to her. She had a laid-back personality, enjoyed having a good time, and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh with friends and family. She especially loved spending time at the beach, being out on the boat, and water skiing. Known for her kind and generous nature, Katherine was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need.

Katherine worked at Service Merchandise in Nashville for 21 years, where she made many friendships throughout her career. Above all, she cherished her family and friends and the memories they shared together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Barbara Roubek Hechler; son, Curt Watson; stepdaughter, Shanna Gibson; sister, Diane Behling; and grandson, Montavis Stewart.

Katherine is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Monnie) Stewart; stepdaughter, April (Coma) Onate; grandchildren, Cayla Jones, Camille Stewart, Micah Primm, Marcus Primm, Briana Onate, Alex Gibson, Daniel Gibson, McKenzie Gibson, Jucore Blackman, and Taliyah Gibson; sister, Deborah Knight, and Geri Klein; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Katherine will be remembered for her generous heart, easygoing spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.
