Joyce Lynne Stanton, 65, of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday November 3, 2024 in Nashville, TN.

Joyce was born the daughter of Kenneth Tomasik and Suzanne Wypa in Detroit, Michigan, on November 2nd, 1959. She grew up in Detroit before moving to Wyoming, MI as a teen. Joyce married Steven Stanton on February 14th, 1993, in Las Vegas and raised their family in West Bloomfield, MI. Joyce had many jobs in retail but her favorite was Jeanne's flower shop every spring through fall.

Joyce loved to read. Any spare moment she had she was nose deep in a book being transported to other worlds. She also loved to garden and was very proud of the awards she won in Keego Harbor for her beautiful flowers. Her happy place was Proud Lake either camping or in a cabin. Joyce's favorite holiday was Halloween and she was known for her elaborate Halloween costumes every year.

Joyce is survived by her children Samantha (Jason) Hollyer and Jeremy Stanton; grandchildren Cayden and Payton; siblings Barbara (Dan) Vos, Brenda (Scott) Dickman, Bruce (Lisa) Tomasik and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce is predeceased by her husband Steve and parents.
