Joshua Burton, 43, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 9, 2025.  He was a vibrant and passionate gamer.  A beloved brother, FUNCLE, friend and coworker. He loved his dog LuLu, who was with him till the end.

Known to some as BJ (Big Josh) or Burton to others but to his family he was and will always be known as Bubba. When Josh wasn't showing off his skills and unwavering love for his video games, he was hanging out with his favorite person in the world, his niece Savannah the Lil Monster! Those two have a bond that is unbreakable. Whether it was a trip to Nashville Shores or just to the store at the end of the road, they loved all their adventures together. Josh was his momma's heart and his sister's world! He was cherished by those who knew him for his compassionate kindness and lively sense of humor.  Josh was a light to everyone that knew him. He will be forever missed and remembered for the impact he left on those he encountered.

Josh is preceded in death by his father Benny Burton. He is survived by his mother Grace Burton, his siblings Racheal Burton and Robert (Cindy) Milbauer, 2 nieces and a nephew. Tons of cousins, family and friends. The sudden passing of such a young soul is hard to comprehend, though what we once loved we can never lose. Josh is not gone, just in a better place.

A charitable donation in his honor can be made to Walden's Puddle . He and Savannah saved 2 baby opossums and Walden's Puddle took them in and cared for them. Josh loved animals more than most people. In lieu of this you can schedule that Doctors appointment, get your yearly screenings and take better care of yourself. Not only for yourself but for the ones who love you the most! A Celebration of Life service will be at a later time.
