A husband, father, brother, friend, mentor who had an all-around amazing personality, big
hearted, hold nothing back, say exactly what he thought man- has been taken too soon.
The wild ride that was Jonathan Nickens life was unexpectedly cut short at the age of 53,
after a brief heartbreaking battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jonathan was proud of more than a few things and would tell you about them! None more
so than his daughters Paige and Kennedy and his granddaughter Baylee Ray, or "Turd" as
he called her. His only regret was not being able to meet his brand-new grandson Emerson
before he passed. Jonathan loved his family and looked forward to holiday get togethers at
his home with everyone. Sister Tasha and her family Jeff, Mason and Maddie, brother
Dwight and his family Sabrina, Kailynn, Caleb- and now Sawyer and Kendell. Niece Mallory
and her family Michael and Maysen. Jonathan was preceded in death by his Mama, Terri
earlier this year and his father Dwight in 1990.

Also left behind is his loving wife, Crystal. Jonathan and Crystal met and had a puppy love
crush in junior high school. 25 years later when they met again, it was magic. Best friends
to one another and partners in life. They both enjoyed riding his motorcycle often- going far
and wide. Their fur babies Hoss, Sam, Cheeto and Virgil, who will miss him. The creek. And
just life together.

The hardest working man. After decades of working for Paradise Construction- among
others, becoming a jack of all trades- operator, driver, mechanic, in 2018, he fulfilled a
lifelong dream and started his company Mug's Trucking with Ole Petey- his pride and joy.

Some will count themselves lucky to have gotten the calls from him, "What the @%*# you
doin now?" Always checking in on people and ready to help- or offer you some advice
wanted or not! Always said " I got a guy" for just about anything you needed in this world.
Jonathan was always a jokester and trickster- he knew how to make people laugh!! He took
pride in his wit and humor. Jonathan really cared about the people he worked with, spent
time with- whether on a job or riding motorcycles.

Several years ago, Jonathan felt lead to God. Often sharing or giving testimony to strangers
wherever he saw a need, also to family and friends. During his illness, he often spoke of his
faith. Jonathan will be missed by a vast number of people and he knew this as his life was coming to an end. When our time comes, he will be there waiting on us.

All people die, not all people LIVE! Jonathan Nickens LIVED life!!

Memorial fellowship to occur prior to the benefit ride for Jonathan on October 18th 10:00 am at Firecracker's Pizza Pleasant View 6524 Hwy 41A, Pleasant View, TN 37146.

This will be an informal time for remembrance and storytelling. All who would like to share are welcome to speak, or have any written thoughts read. Come as you like, say what you feel- as Mug would have wanted!
