With a sad beat in our hearts and tears in our eyes we have found that our well traveled friend, "Drummer John", passed away on January 14th in Dover, Tennessee.

Born on August 4th 1983 in Rochester, NY John began a life full of travels, music, and many friends that became family. John has been all over this country, from one coast to the other, north and south, while following the Grateful Dead with his family. Music always played a large role in John's life. Starting with playing the guitar at 7 years old and playing on stage for the first time with Bim Skala Bim, and at that time performing and music became his passion.

John was gifted his first drum set at 10 years old, much to the chagrin of the neighbors and his twin sister. His natural talent became apparent early on and even enjoyed lessons at Hochestein School of Music on a scholarship. Any solid surface could become a drum, nothing was safe. Playing many times with numerous bands and musicians it became his life. Until the very end living in his van traveling with his drum set and cajone in tow ready to jump on stage at a moments notice.

John has left behind sons Nathaniel and Zachariah. A twin sister Jaime (Mathew), nephews Joshua, Lee, Jace and adorable little niece Amelia. He was very lucky to have numerous friends he considered family, too many to list. He is joined in spirit with his mother Jahneen, brother Robbie, and many aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

The family and friends will gather for "John's Jam" on (Saturday) August 2nd to celebrate his life, his talents, his music, and his colorful life full of adventures many could only dream of. Further details to come.
