Joey Workman passed away on August 11, 2025, in Hermitage, TN. Joey was preceded in death by his father Donald Lee Workman. He is survived by his wife of 15 years Heather M. Workman; daughter Sofie Workman 13 and son Ryan Workman 10; mother Betty Workman; brother Lee Workman (Daphne), nieces Carlee Smith (Whiston), Carrie Beth Cahoon (Chris), and Addie Singleton.

Joey was a faithful member of Hermitage United Methodist Church. He enjoyed helping others and loved spending time with his family, friends and pets.  Joey was a scholar, artist, entertainer and philosopher to those who knew him most.  He loved college football, was an avid UT Volunteers fan.  He also enjoyed cooking, bird hunting and teaching. Joey was a loyal public servant for Davidson County TN. Prior to that, he worked for Couser's Restaurant, where he fostered many relationships with his mentor, Mr. John Arriola and as fate would have it, met his lovely wife, Heather.

Joey was a loyal member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Joey will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life for Joey will be held at Hermitage United Methodist Church, Saturday August 23, 2025. Visitation at 10:00 am, and service begins at 11:30.
