Jerry Lee Ervin was born on May 17, 1959, in Naples, Florida. He passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jerry was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Jerry proudly served 6 years in the Florida National Guards, he then received an Honorable Discharge in 1984. He was employed at Jacobs Construction doing what he loved, Operating Heavy Equipment. He enjoyed football, car shows, grilling, boating and spending time with his family.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his father William Ervin, mother Myrtle Simmons, brothers Joe Ervin and Lee Roy Ervin and grandmother Bulah Mae Ervin.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Vicki Lee Amschler (husband Danny), Jennifer Ervin (husband Ryan) and Melanie Best (husband Justin), also the mother of his daughters Vicki Ervin and long term girlfriend Cathey Wagner, grandchildren: Jacob Kadau (wife Grace), Eliana Amschler (husband Chamon), Gabriella, Zayden and Rylynn Ervin, Brody and Abigail Best and great grandson Axel Curtis. Sisters Ella Mae Johnson (wife Cathy), Missy Swanson (husband Kennith), Janice Simmons, Vicki Jackson-Ervin, Pearly Crum (husband Scott), Uncle Tim Ervin, Aunts Shirley Cliett and Hazel Reynolds and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jerrys strong will and dedication to his family were highlights of his character. He loved his grandchildren who filled his heart with love, happiness and pride. Jerry lived an active life with many projects and hobbies. Jerry was full of life, he always had a smile on his face and was always ready for the next project outside in his yard. Jerry will be greatly missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May is memory bring comfort to those who mourn him.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Faith Church in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
