Jason Daniel Kline, born on May 17, 1973, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. At that moment, we lost a very important person to many.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Rylee and Kelby Kline of Nashville, Tennessee; his father, Danny Kline of Marion, Illinois; his brother, Josh Kline of Goreville, Illinois; and his sister, Bobby Jo Kline of Goreville, Illinois. Jason, Josh, and Bobby Jo were siblings who often found themselves at odds, yet they always had each other's backs through the struggles of life, demonstrating a bond that was both complex and unbreakable. He cherished his nieces, Josie and Jayla Kline, and is survived by his uncle and aunt, Jane and David Runge, and his uncle, David Palmer, as well as his cousins, Stacy Coonce, Julie Tripp, Garrett Runge, Dayton, Brenni, Kacey, Kaylee, and KJ. He had very close friendships with Todd Tripp and Josh Parish.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dodie Kline; his Granny, Norma Durham; his Papa, Bobby Joe Durham; his grandmother, Reavis Palmer; and his uncle, Brad Durham. Jason's bond with his mother and Granny was incredibly special, and we find comfort in knowing that he may now be reunited with them.

Jason's greatest passion was spending time with his daughters, whether it was at the ball field watching them play softball, sitting at home enjoying the homemade videos they created together, or simply watching them embrace life with joy. Jason accomplished many things in life, but his greatest accomplishment was being the father he was to his two beautiful daughters. He was an avid baseball player during his high school years with the Goreville Black Cats and continued his love for the sport as a pitcher at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. His journey in baseball took him to Ogden, Utah, where he played for the Raptors in minor league baseball.

In addition to baseball, Jason had a deep passion for golf; his golf clubs were a constant companion, accompanying him wherever he went.

Born in Marion, Illinois, Jason attended Goreville High School. After his minor league experience, he moved around several states for his career in the healthcare industry. He loved spending time with family and friends, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. One of his fondest memories was driving through Denny Parish's yard and playfully throwing his trash out, a testament to his fun-loving spirit.

Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends
