Irwin Elliott Berman was born November 26, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away peacefully March 12, 2025 at the age of 82 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Bridget (Merriman) Berman, who preceded him in death in 2015.

Irwin was also preceded in death by his parents, Abraham "Abe" and Rosemary (Glass) Berman, his younger brothers, Harvey Berman and Martin Berman, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Merriman. He is survived by his loving sisters-in-law, Janice (Cohen) Berman and Laura (Heller) Merriman, his mother-in-law, Bonnie (Johnson) Merriman, his aunt, Tilly (Franco) Glass, and his nieces and nephews, Heather Berman, Jennifer (Berman) Spry (Jason), Eric Berman (Liberty), Robert Merriman (Kara) and Jonathan Merriman (Sandi).

Irwin will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and humor. His kindness and gentle spirit touched all who knew him and his presence will be deeply missed.
