Herbert Murray, affectionately known as “Pappy,” of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 83.

Herbert was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind three loving daughters: Myra Murray, Kizzy Murray, and Jeannette Skinner. He was also proud of his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, creating a beautiful family legacy that will endure through the generations. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Herbert Skinner.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Herbert will forever cherish the warmth, wisdom, and love he shared. His gentle spirit and kind presence touched the lives of many, and his memory will be held close to the hearts of family and friends alike.

Herbert Murray will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and joy will continue to shine through his family.
