Glenn Howey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 83. Gordon Glenn Howey Sr. was born on July 13, 1942, in Troy, Michigan. Glenn lived life filled with joy and purpose, known for his spirit and mild-mannered approach to all he encountered.

Glenn's professional journey began in materials management at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, where his commitment to healthcare made a significant impact. His career later took him to Donelson Hospital as the materials manager. Subsequently, he took a courageous step in his career by starting his own specialty medical supply business, a venture that reflected his dedication to serving the community and ensuring that medical professionals had the resources they needed.

A proud veteran, Glenn served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of duty and honor. His military service contributed to the rich tapestry of his life, demonstrating his commitment not only to his country, but also to the well-being of others throughout his career and beyond.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Glenn cherished the great outdoors, often spending time at his property in West Tennessee.

Glenn's family was his pride and joy. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 61 years, Doris Howey. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Gordon Howey Jr., Pamela Tooley, and Kristi Howey, who will carry forth his legacy of kindness and strength. His role as "Grandpa" to Eric Howey, Noah Tooley, and Kaitlyn Tooley was one of his proudest accomplishments. He took great delight in watching his grandchildren grow and thrive, creating cherished memories that will last for generations.

Glenn is also survived by nephews Patrick Haley and Mike Haley, and niece Jackie Perez, who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his six siblings, who were an important part of his upbringing and life's journey.

Glenn will be remembered as a joyful spirit who embraced life and all its blessings. His legacy of love, strength, and commitment to family will remain in the hearts of many.
