Dorothy Gomaz DeTaeye, 77, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025. Dorothy was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on June 27, 1947 to Carl and Wilma Harrison. Dorothy was an avid seamstress, crocheter, knitter and designer. Dorothy had a heart of gold and would crochet afghans for just about every family member for any given occasion. Dorothy was a home maker most of her life, but at the latter part of her life she worked at Hobby Lobby as a manager, which was a very fitting role considering she was so crafty. Dorothy then decided to stop working and enjoy her time on sewing projects. Dorothy had one last project she intended to get to and it was an angel afghan, but time ran out and she was not able to start.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Sandrae, her son, Daniel Jr., father and mother (Carl and Wilma), brother (Jim) and survived by her siblings, Carl, Barbara and Thomas, her children, Karole, Scott and Brandy (Angelo), 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
