Don Allen Davis, age 63, passed away on February 2, 2026, at St. Thomas West Hospital. He was born on January 25, 1963, and lived a life marked by resilience, humor, and deep love for his family.
Don fought a long and courageous battle through many health challenges, including cancer, and faced each one with strength and determination. Even through hardship, he never lost his spark or his sense of humor. Don had a way of making people laugh, often when they needed it most, and his jokes and one-of-a-kind personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He loved fishing, especially spending time near the water, and found joy in cooking and sharing meals with those he loved. Don had a rare gift for turning ordinary moments into memories, simply by being himself. He truly was one of a kind.
Don is survived by his daughters, Megan Davis and Lori Ryan; his grandchildren, Jaylynn and Seth, who brought him immense pride and joy; his sister, Nancy Davis; and Kathy, his lifelong friend and the mother of his children. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Derek, with whom he shared countless laughs and memorable jet ski rides.
He was preceded in death by his spouse, Dwight May; his parents, John and Ruby; and his siblings, Donna, Rick, and Garry.
A small celebration of life will be held at the Tennessee River, a place fitting for someone who found peace and happiness near the water. Service details will be announced at a later time.
Don's legacy lives on through his family, his laughter, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
