Clarance "Buddy" Lewis, age 74, passed away peacefully late on November 24, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Tennessee, Buddy spent most of his career as a skilled welder with the Nashville Bridge Company, where his craftsmanship helped shape the very structures that carried people across the state. Outside of work, he found joy in the quiet serenity of local lakes, casting lines and sharing stories with anyone lucky enough to join him. His love for animals was especially evident in the bond he shared with his pet raccoons, who were as much a part of his family as anyone else.

Buddy was known for his quick wit and generous spirit. Always ready with a joke, he had a gift for making people laugh and lifting spirits wherever he went. His presence was a comfort, his humor a balm, and his heart as wide as the Tennessee sky.

He is survived by his brother Robert R. Lewis, sister Effie Potts, brothers Melvin Christian and Walter Christian, and niece Regina McConnell. His memory will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the lives he touched.

A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Buddy's legacy by sharing a joke, casting a line, or simply spending time with those you love.
