Charlotte A Sowers, 89, of Franklin, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

She was born on October 6, 1936 in Bowie, TX to James Elton Lakey and Mamie Audine Carter.

In her younger days, Charlotte was known for her love of fast cars and her thirst for adventure.

She loved to travel, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She spent most of her life in Arlington, TX, later moved to Spring Hill, TN, and finally Franklin, TN.

She is survived by her three sons, Larry Sowers of Alvarado, TX, Don (Angie) Sowers of Franklin, TN, and Neal Sowers of Crowley, TX;

six grandchildren, Stacy, Kelly, Tyler, Travis, Ryan, and John; and one great-granddaughter, Zoe.

Charlotte will be laid to rest in her home town of Bowie, TX.
