Carolyn Hewgley Crow, born in 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of John D. Crow, with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage just three days before her passing. Carolyn was the cherished mother of John Dale Crow, Jr., and grandmother to John Dale Crow, III, Wesley Elizabeth Crow, Meekins Mayberry Crow, and Barrier Brett Crow, who affectionately called her 'Crinny'.

Carolyn was an only child, born to Elizabeth and Lewis Hewgley. She pursued her education with dedication, attending high school in Giles County, Tennessee, and furthering her studies at Vanderbilt University, the University of Texas, and the University of Houston, where she earned a master's degree in Sociology.

Her career was marked by her work with the Veterans Administration, where she provided counseling to veterans. She also found success as a real estate agent in Memphis, Tennessee, and shared her knowledge as a school teacher in Germantown, Tennessee. Additionally, she briefly worked as a flight attendant.

Carolyn was known for her intelligence, love of history, and her introverted yet fiercely loyal nature. She was deeply honored and loved by her family, who will miss her dearly.
