Obituary

Angela Dawn Coday, born March 19, 1977, passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 48.

Angela was born in Springfield, Tennessee, and spent most of her life in the Middle Tennessee region. She lived boldly and authentically, with a spirit that was spunky, adventurous, and full of life. She was unapologetically herself in every room she entered.

Angela devoted much of her life to caring for horses, a passion that brought her joy, peace, and purpose. Animals were naturally drawn to her gentle heart—none more than her beloved dog, Buddy, who preceded her in death and was her inseparable companion for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Autumn Dawn Palmer of Florida, and her son, Adrian James Palmer of New York; as well as two cherished granddaughters. Angela is also survived by her mother, Stella Elaine Hemmer-Dunn (Paul Dunn), her father, Harold Parker Axley, and her sisters Stacey Bailey, Sharen Coday, Susan Highhill, and Wendy Axley.

Angela was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Hemmer. She is survived by her grandmother, Betty June Hemmer, who cherished her deeply.

In her final act of generosity, Angela chose to give the gift of life through organ donation. Her selflessness became a Christmas miracle for many strangers, offering hope, healing, and second chances to people she would never meet. These final gifts reflect the same compassion and courage she carried throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a family member's home on Saturday, December 13th at 2pm.

Contact family for more information.

Angela's vibrant spirit, fearless honesty, and deep love for those she cared about will be forever missed by her family and all who knew her.
