Alan Price, age 56, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born in McKenzie, Tennessee, Alan lived a life defined by love, laughter, and connection.  While he enjoyed many things, his greatest accomplishment and proudest role was being a father.  His sons were his heart and his world, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with them -- watching movies, cooking big family dinners, and cheering on his favorite football teams together.

Alan had a deep love for food and cooking.  He delighted in trying new recipes and sharing meals with family and friends, believing that the best conversations and memories were made around the table.  His record player and collection of old vinyl were always nearby, providing the soundtrack to gatherings filled with warmth and storytelling.

A devoted football fan, Alan proudly supported the Miami Hurricanes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Saturdays and Sundays were often spent immersed in the game, surrounded by the people he loved most.

Alan shared a close and enduring bond with his ex-wife and best friend, Anna Tasia Waters.  Together they raised their beloved son, James Alan Price, who was truly Alan's everything.  Alan was also a proud and loving father to his second adopted son, Tre Johns, whom he and Tasia cherish deeply.

He is survived by:  James Alan Price, son; Tre Johns, son; Anna Tasia Waters, ex-wife and best friend; Terrance Hampton (Angie), nephew; Andrea Jackson (Jermaine), niece; Denise Gibson, sister; James Hoard Jr., brother; Jimmy Waters, father-in-law; Yvonne Waters, mother-in-law; Patsy Castle, Granny; Olivia Kershner (Mic), sister-in-law; Jordan and Kyron Hampton, great-nephews; Elora "LeeLee" Kershner, niece; Ryot Kershner, nephew.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Abbie Loyd Price and Catherine Price, and his beloved sister, Deborah Hampton.

Those who knew Alan will remember his generous spirit, his love of music and food, his passion for football, and--most of all--his devotion to his sons and family.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
